Holiday Marketing Tactics 2017
The holidays are here! Are you ready? If you’re a fellow marketer, they’ve probably already been on your mind for months. This time of year still manages to sneak up on a lot of us, though.
I found this fun infographic from MDG Advertising I thought I’d share. It’s titled, “10 Essential Holiday Marketing Tactics for 2017.” It’s not too late to implement a few of them, as 38% of shoppers don’t finish their holiday shopping until early December. Twenty-four percent of us are last-minute shoppers and won’t finish our shopping until December 24th! So there’s still time to create marketing messages that stand out.
Here are a few of my favorite points from the infographic:
- Shoppers use a variety of channels to find inspiration and make purchases.
- Marketers should consider messaging carefully, as generic holiday-themed emails actually perform worse than non-themed emails.
- There are incentives beyond just discounts marketers can offer to consumers.
- Mobile holiday sales are expected to jump by 38% this holiday season.
